Games, role plays, and other fun activities will take the mystery out of Wall Street. In your Investment Club team, you'll learn how to select stocks, manage risk, and build a balanced portfolio that will help you reach your financial dreams. Summer $tock is the latest DollarDiva program offered by Independent Means Inc. (IMI), the leading provider of live and on-line programs and products for girls' financial independence. Now in its ninth season, IMI's Camp $tart-Up® has introduced hundreds of teen women to the excitement, opportunities, and challenges of business and entrepreneurship as a pathway to their financial independence. Summer $tock offers additional equity-buildingskills and resources to prepare girls for a secure and self-sufficient financial future.

Meet and interview savvy female investors who share their investment successes – and mistakes – along the road to financial independence. Research your favorite companies. Read the financial pages, web sites, and annual reports to find out if your favorite brand or shopping destination is a potential hot stock pick. Create a mock portfolio. Research, select, and present a balanced portfolio of high performance stocks with your Investment Club team.
Making your money grow through the magic of compounding! Selecting the right combination of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds to match your goals, time frame, and risk tolerance. Picking great companies to invest in. Combine your shopping savvy and knowledge of future trends with the fundamentals of stock analysis to select investments to weather bull and bear markets. The Summer $tock approach is creative, sometimes unpredictable, and always fun! Games, role playing, and laughter are an integral part of all activities. In addition, the investment curriculum is balanced with an afternoon recreational program. With access to the Babson athletic facilities, participants enjoy swimming, tennis, and sports. A trip into Boston for sightseeing and shopping is a session highlight.
